for the joy of surviving,

on the edge of the road.

Feet On The Horizon

Overtime Dance Foundation, Inc. was formed in New York almost 40 years ago, for charitable and educational purposes. At that time, Cathy Appel was Director of Cathy Appel Dance Company organized a few years earlier.

The company’s principal focus was working with dancers, choreographers, musicians, writers and participants in allied arts, on various performance projects, workshops, laboratories and public concerts that would demonstrate and emphasize the value of dance as an essential medium of artistic communication and creative expression.

The Foundation was a natural outgrowth of the dance company, as a vehicle to promote the company’s outreach through funding acquisition, taking a variety of forms.

Overtime Dance Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. More information about the foundation can be found at the Charities Registration Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York.
